MOMMY YAP
Author presently unknown

When you hear your child say
                   "Mommy" for the first time,
                    your heart melts.

                    That's because nobody tells
you that a child will say it 80,000
times a day. This is known as "Mommy Yap."
Mommy Yap goes into your ear, up to your
brain and makes your hands twitch. "Look
Mommy, Listen, Mommy, are you watching,
                    Mommy? Huh, Mommy? Look, Mommy!"
They
are like a parrot on a pirate's shoulder.

And they would never think to ask Daddy for
one thing -- EVER! The child will step right over
Daddy, run up the stairs, jimmy open the
bathroom door, fling back the shower curtain,
hand naked Mommy a glass..."Mommy, can
you pour me a glass of milk?" Where's
Daddy?" I ask, while trying to cover myself.
"Daddy said he doesn't know where you keep
                    the milk."
